Spring has finally arrived!!! Summer is just around the corner. There are a few things I’d like to remind you all about.

Pool season is almost here. Please ensure that your homeowner assessments are paid in full.  Delinquent homeowners will not be allowed access to the pool. No exceptions!!

Please slow down through your community. The speed limit is 25 mph. Your Board of Directors and Crime Watch committee are working closely with the Chesapeake Police Department to ensure the safety of us all. Recently, I know you saw the Speed sign that showed you exactly how fast you were going. Please adhere to the 25 mph speed limit.

The Architectural Review Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse. You must submit an application for any exterior alteration you may want to perform on your property. Applications may be forwarded to my attention at the UPA office.

I am usually in the neighborhood weekly performing inspections. Please be mindful of the Rules & Regulations of Sawyer’s Mill Owners’ Association. The following infractions are what I observe most often:

1. Trash cans improperly placed
2. Iron deposits on wooden and vinyl fencing
3. Mold/Mildew on vinyl siding
4. Grass not mowed/maintained
5. Trailers/Boats in driveway
6. Basketball goals at the end of the driveways.

Please ensure that you are adhering to the Rules & Regulations. If you have current violations you will not be allowed to register for pool passes.

We need more volunteers for the Neighborhood Crime watch. Teresa Shuma has been spearheading this effort. Thank you to all the homeowners who have volunteered to date. We need some more! Please feel free to contact Teresa at tshu4u@cox.net.
